The Academy wants to know how juniors are doing in tournament competition. Email the Academy whenever your junior wins a tennis tournament at any level. In addition, e-mail the Academy when your junior competes in any National level tournament, Southern Championship, or Southern (Bullfrog) Designated. Results and pictures will be posted on the homepage.

TAS former player Caroline Price leads the "Notorious 9" to the NCAA Championship!

Caroline and the UNC Tar Heels just won the NCAA indoor championship this past week at the ITA National Team Indoor Championship in Charlottesville, VA. Caroline, who is the team's captain, won the deciding match and the title for UNC by a score of 4-1 over No. 9 Georgia and delivering North Carolina it’s second such title in the past three years. Congratulations, Caroline!


Another Former Academy Player Wins National Championship!

Georgia Tech and former Academy player, Megan Kurey and her partner Kendal Woodard won the 2013 USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships, held at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center over the past weekend. It was a memorable day as #26 Megan Kurey and Kendal Woodard defeated #58 Julia Fellerhoff and Rebecca Shine of the University of Louisville to secure the win. We are very proud of Megan. She has always been an expletory role model since her early days here at TAS. Congratulations, Megan and Kendal!


Nami Otsuka Takes Both Singles and Doubles Titles at G16's Nationals

Nami Otsuka rolled through both the Singles and Doubles draws of the G16's USTA National Tournament in Norcross in October! Nami finished the tournament without dropping a set from the quarterfinals on through the finals. Congratulations, Nami!


Will Showers Takes 3rd Place at B18s National Clay Court Championships

Will Showers finished his Summer with a 3rd place finish at the B18's National Clay Court Championships. What a great way to prepare for his Fall semester at Goergia Tech! Congratulations, Will!


Bailey Showers Takes 5 Tournament Titles!

Bailey Showers has enjoyed a busy Summer by winning 5 consecutive tournaments! Bailey won the Georgia State Junior Closed Challenger, the Georgia State Junior Clay Court Championships, the Tennessee State Open Junior Championships, the Summer Junior Championships (Boca Raton FL), and the North Carolina Junior Clay Court Championships! Congratulations Bailey - way to go!


TAS Girls Shine with Tennis Scholarship

Four Tennis Academy of the South players have signed to NLI's to continue their tennis careers in college! Congratulations to: Summer Ralston full scholarship to the Naval Academy, Taylor Carlson full scholarhip to Wofford, Madi Umbaugh to Georgia State, and Hannah Serdinia with a full scholarship to Georgia College & State University!


Allie Miller & Will Showers Sign College Scholarship Offers!

Allie Miller and Will Showers have signed scholarship offers to continue their careers in college! Allie signed an offer to attend and play for Notre Dame, Will signed an offer with Georgia Tech here in Atlanta! Both are shown here at a recent event at the Sandy Springs Tennis Center. Congratulations to Allie and Will! We look forward to their future successes in college!


Umbaugh Signs Scholarship with Georgia State!

Madison Umbaugh, shown with Jeff Groslimond, signed a NLI to play at Georgia State beginning this fall! Great example of the results which can be achieved through hard work and perserverance. Congratualtions, Madi!


Megan Kurey Named ACC Player of the Week

Former Academy player and Georgia Tech freshman women's tennis player Megan Kurey has been named ACC Player of the Week. It is the first ACC Player of the Week honor for Kurey. She went 3-1 overall and keyed Georgia Tech's 4-3 comeback win over No. 16 Florida State on Sunday. Congratulations, Megan!

Caroline Price and UNC Wins National Indoor Team Championship

Former Academy player Caroline Price and her UNC team recently won their first NCAA National Indoors in Charlottesville, VA. Caroline is currently ranked #36 in the nation! Congratulations to Caroline and her teammates!

Megan Kurey signed a National Letter of Intent to continue her tennis career as a Georgia Tech Yellow Jacket! Megan joined the Academy at an early age and we've had the opportunity to watch Megan grow into the great player and person that she has become. Caroline Price Captures National Clay Courts Doubles Championship!

Caroline Price and her partner Whitney Kay won the G18's USTA National Clay Court Doubles Championship without dropping a set! Caroline will be attending the University of North Carolina on a full scholarship this fall. Congratulations Caroline!

Caroline Price Signs NLI To Be A Tar Heel!

Caroline Price has signed a National Letter of Intent to continue her tennis career as a North Carolina Tar Heal! We've had the opportunity to watch Caroline grow from a young beginner to the great player she has become.
