Tip:  Motor Muscle Memory

To make your game second nature takes a lot of work.  Part of that work should be shadowing your strokes each day for 5-10 minutes.  Before you go on court take 1 or 2 strokes and physically practice hitting the shot with 20 times, take a time out, and do it again.  When doing motor muscle memory drills you have to image that you are actually hitting a real tennis ball.  Use all of your senses (sight, touch, smell, etc.) to make the stroke as real as possible.

Practice the stroke standing still, then move to hitting the stroke on the run so you are experiencing different court positions.  You are training your mind to see the shot and the motor muscles in your body will feel the shot.
